Anton Kasian Edberg (*1995 in Solna, lives and works in Stockholm) currently builds unorthodox and skillfull indie Metaverse-type computer game environments, following a group of hoodster rat characters into a limitless mobile world. After having studied at Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design, Anton found himself having to re-think art beyond classical modernism, instead attempting to bridge the gap between the analog and digital, often drawing inspiration from the ongoing pace of social media, swedish rap music mythology, and rare animals. In his way of using a wide variety of 3D apps and advanced hardware to assemble the ultimate “rig”, one could draw references to both techno producer Varg2tm, and Los Angeles gamer-gone-sculptor Filip Kostic. Perhaps its not a coincidence that the main rat character of Kasian Edbergs most recent venture also resembles the official maskot for local Solna soccer team AIK –from Blåkulla to the world.
